What should I expect from a typical appointment? For initial evaluations, much of the time will be spent reviewing your responses on the intake forms, obtaining additional information, and identifying your personal goals. Follow up appointments will be focused on evaluating progress, identifying barriers, and adjusting plans as needed. Each appointment will be uniquely tailored to your needs and last 60 minutes.
How do online appointments work?Online appointments will be conducted via Google Meet (which is HIPAA-compliant). At the scheduled time of your session, we will email an invitation to join the chat platform. An appointment reminder with detailed instructions will be sent to clients prior to each session.
Do you take insurance? We do not directly bill insurance for our services. All payments will be collected at the time of appointment scheduling. However, we would be happy to provide you with the documentation necessary to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee insurance provider reimbursement and no refunds will be granted if claims are denied.
What kinds of group sessions do you offer? We are excited to offer nutrition and physical therapy education to groups within the Northern Virginia community! Would your team benefit from a lesson on meal prepping for game day? How about arm care for baseball pitchers before and after games? Sessions are customized to meet the needs of your particular group and can be conducted in-person or online. Send us an email if this is something you're interested in.
Do I need a prescription? No! In Virginia you can now see a physical therapist without a prescription! That means that you can save time and money and go right to your physical therapist if you suffer an injury. Also, trigger point dry needling no longer requires a prescription, so we can perform dry needling at your first appointment! As physical therapists we are trained to understand what injuries or pains can be addressed by physical therapy. If your evaluation reveals that you would benefit from seeing another healthcare professional, we can point you in the right direction!
