Hi! My name is Sarah Lehnert and I am a licensed and registered dietitian. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics and Nutrition from Florida International University in 2017. From 2017 to 2018, I completed my accredited dietetic internship through West Virginia University Medicine with over 1,400 hours of supervised practice within various clinical, community, and administrative settings. I received the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’s Outstanding Dietetic Intern of the Year Award for the state of West Virginia in 2018. For nearly 4 years, I worked in the hospital setting and addressed the nutrition needs of individuals of all ages (spanning from birth to end-of-life). My various experiences in the clinical realm truly opened my eyes to the immense gaps in outpatient nutrition-related care in Northern Virginia. As a dietitian, I am passionate about helping individuals at all ages and stages of sport to repair their relationship with food and educating on the role of nutrition in improving physical performance.
